Resumen:
Stationary process gains are criticalmodel parameters to determine targets incommercial MPC technologies. Consequently, important savings can be reached by acceding to anearly prevention system capable of detecting if theactual process moves away from the modeleddynamics, particularly by indicating when the actualprocess gains are no more represented by thoseincluded in the model identified duringcommissioning stages. A subspace identificationmethod, which works on closed-loop operation, isused here to estimate the gain system matrices. Themain goal is to perform a closed-loop monitoringmethod capable of identifying those gains of amultivariable model that start to move from itsoriginal values. The anticipated knowledge of theseevents should prevent process engineers about theeventual reliability of targeting optimal processconditions with wrong gain estimations, and thus, help to localize the dynamic relationships for whichan updating identification would be necessary.
