Resumen:
Indoor pollution has become a major issue regarding environmental safety. People spend most of their time in confined places and are exposed to a wide variety of chemical pollutants. Formaldehyde (HCHO) is one of the most typical organic compounds present in polluted environments and it is harmless to humans even at low concentrations. The photocatalytic degradation of formaldehyde in gas phase has been addressed in a number of works with successful results.1,2 In this work, we develop a scaling up methodology for the photocatalytic degradation of formaldehyde in air directly from laboratory data to a bench reactor with different size, shape and configuration.
