Resumen:
It has been shown that the double-phase mask encrypting system could be vulnerable under certain conditions. Encrypting systems based on 4f and free-space propagation architectures were broken using the plaintext and ciphertext attacks. In this contribution, we show how the Joint Transform Correlator (JTC) based double random phase encoding scheme can also be broken. Both plaintext and ciphertext attacks are implemented. During ciphertext attack, we introduce three carefully chosen input objects in order to get the encrypting key information, and during plaintext attack we use the information of an object together with its respective encrypted version to find the encrypting key. Accordingly, we implement two different algorithms. We present computational simulations that show the vulnerability of the system.
