Resumen:
As part of an ongoing program performed in collaboration with museums and institutions of Argentina we present results of the application of 3D imaging methods for documentation, recording and study of objects of heritage value. Part of the program is dedicated to applying these techniques to the conservation and restoration of clandestine detention centers created during the military dictatorship in 1976-1983. Particularly we will show some of the work that take place in two detention, torture and extermination centers, located in the City of Buenos Aires. The so called Club Atletico, and the ESMA (School of Naval Mechanics) that today are museums and cultural places belonging to the Institute called ?Space for Memory?. In this work also Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS), performed with Nd-Yag (1064 nm) nanosecond lasers, was used for material characterisation of some selected objects. Also we present pieces of the collection of gypsum molds and rubbings belonging from the Faculty of Bellas Artes of the National University of La Plata, Argentinathat were registered with 3D photogrammetry, structured light, and laser scanning methods, to obtain 3D images for documentation.
