Resumen:
By combining phase modulation anddispersive transmission on a given time-varying inputsignal, we propose an optical device for producingultrashort light pulses of high optical power. Wederive the relationship between the required propertiesof the input signal and the device parameters inorder to optimize the energy concentration in theoutput optical pulses. The high-order aberrationseffects of the time lens which perform the phasemodulation are considered. Besides, the differenceson the obtained pulse shape when the input signalhas a gaussian or a super-gaussian envelope are illustrated. Finally, some numerical simulations areshown which illustrate the feasibility of the method.
