Resumen:
We investigate the morphology and kinematics of the interstellar medium in the environs of the HII region NGC 3503. NANTEN data of 2CO(J=1-0) line at 115 GHz with angular and velocity resolution of 2.7arcmin and 0.05 km/swere analized.  Mid- and far-infrared observations were analyzed using Spitzer-IRAC image at 4.5 and 8.0 mu, and IRAS images at 60 and 100 mu, respective. This study allow us to detect a molecular cloud in direction of the HII region NGC 3503, which have as main stellar sources a number of B-type stars probably members of the open cluster Pismis 17. Mid and far IR counterparts of the HII region have been founded in the surroundings of NGC 3503, as a product of the interstellar dust emission.    The interaction between the FUV photons of the B-type stars and the molecular material, created photodissociation regions (PDRs) around the HII region and at the edge of the molecular cloud, which together with the agreement between the expansion velocity of the ionized and molecular gas strongly suggets the expansion of the HII in at the egde of the its parental molecular cloud.
