Resumen:
The present work shows the implementation of a low cost signal processing system based on ?software defined radio?, adapted for its use in radioastronomical observations of spectral lines and continuum emission at 1.4GHz. This receiver takes advantage of a new generation of electronic components that provide fast acquisition speeds, enabling a direct digitization of the electromagnetic signal arriving to the telescope for its later post-process on a personal computer using custom-builtsoftware.In order to evaluate the performance of the new receiver, radio observations of known calibration sources were made with the main antenna of the Instituto Argentino de Radioastronomia at 1420 MHz and 1413 MHz, and compared against the previously catalogued flux densities and spectral lines.
