Resumen:
We analize the distribution of the molecular gas associated with IRAS and 2MASS sources, young stellar objects linked to the HII region Gum 31. We based our studies on observations obtained with the APEX telescope, located in the north of Chile. We used observation of different CO isotopologues, CS(7-6) and  HCO+(4-3) lines. The sources are located on the edge of the Gum 31 HII region, whose shock front substantially affects the  morphology of their molecular environs. The observations revealed that in the surroundings of the sources there is molecular gas associated with the nebula, which is shown by the 12CO(3-2) emission, with small high density clumps detected in C18O(3-2).
