Resumen:
Given two subsets A and B of the algebra of bounded linear operators on a Hilbert space H we denote by AB:={ab: a in A, b in B}. The goal of this article is to describe AB if A and B denote classes of projections, partial isometries, positive (semidefinite) operators, and so on. Moreover, fixed c belongs to AB we shall describe AB_c:={(a,b) in AB: ab=c}, p_1(AB_c):={a in A: c=ab for some b in B} and p_2(AB_c):={b in B: c=ab for some a in A}.
