Título:
Blue, Green, Red, and Far-red: Making Sense of Light Quality and Plant Growth
Autor/es:

Reunión:
Conferencia; Plant Biology Worldwide Summit; 2020
Resumen:
Romina Sellaro will discuss changes in the light environment due to the presence of neighboring plants that are perceived by sensory photoreceptors. The low blue-light irradiances and low blue / green ratios caused by neighbors are perceived by cryptochrome while the low red and the low red / far-red ratios are perceived by phytochrome. In addition to its role in the perception of the light environment, phyB is also able to sense temperature. When irradiance is low, phyB is in a steady state that depends strongly on temperature. This sensing of spectral ratios and irradiance by phyB and cry1 are essential to modulate growth patterns.
