Resumen:
The objectives are: i) to assess the use of management practices and, ii) to detect the main weeds problems. In 2016, advisers and crop producers were surveyed through webmail to assess the adoption of management practices and to indicate the most problematic weeds. More than 53% use only chemical options. The most used are fallow treatment (86%), full herbicide rates (62%), proper herbicide timing (46%), multiple modes of action (41%), rotation of herbicide mode of action (32%). Among non-chemical practices the adoption is: crop rotation (45%), avoiding seed production during (31%) and after crop cycle ( 25%), narrow row (19%), competitive cultivars (18%) and less than 15% increasing crop densities and time of sowing. Conyza sp., Amaranthus sp., Sorghum halepense, Chloris sp., Eleusine indica, Echinocloa sp., Lolium sp. are the most important weeds. There is high dependence on chemical control. Extension policies are needed to emphasize integrated weed management.
