Resumen:
Quasi-1D gases have been realized in highly elongated traps by confining the transverse motion of the atoms to their zero point oscillations. As a result, the trapped atoms canbe effectively characterized by a quasi-1D system. These systems are expected to exhibit peculiar properties, which cannot be described using traditional mean-field theories.Their accurate description requires more advanced approaches from many-body formalism. We study the properties of an ansatz based on independent composite bosons(cobosons) to describe the ground state of a 1D molecular gas. We consider that the molecules constituting the gas have contact interactions and we focus on two differentsituations, a homogeneous gas and a gas in an isotropic harmonic trap. We show that in the strong attractive interaction regime of the molecules, both are equivalent. Ouranalysis based on the coboson ansatz paves the way towards the exploration of 1D Fermi gases with an arbitrary number of fermion pairs over the entire range of interaction.
