The aim of this work was to investigate the optical bleaching of the thermoluminescence (TL) signal of KMgF3:Tm fluoroperovskite. With this aim, TL and optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) correlation measurements were carried out. The glow curve of KMgF3:Tm is made up of five peaks. We observed that only the first and fourth glow peaks reduce their intensity when measured promptly after the OSL measurement. Furthermore, the intensity of these peaks reaches a stationary value as the optical stimulation time during the OSL readout increases. The model proposed in this work fully explains both the OSL and TL phenomena, as well as the fading signal in each case. Finally, a deconvolution of the glow curves considering general order kinetic was carried out to assess the activation energy of the traps involved in both stimulated luminescence processes.
