Resumen:
In this paper we analyse the effects of the error propagation andbelief propagation for the transmission of AES encrypted data in noisychannels. On one side the resulting effect is a degraded BER performance withrespect to the transmission of unencrypted data, but this fact can be alsoconsidered as a measure of the encryption capability of this algorithm. On theother side an attempt to perform belief propagation through the steps of thisalgorithm shows that reliability of input estimates rapidly degrades in thisprocess. In this sense, it is evident that there exists a trade off betweenreliability of the transmission and its privacy.
