Resumen:
An online survey was administered to 383 Argentineans regarding the acceptance of COVID-19 fake news and conspiracy theories. The participants completed additional measures of analytical reasoning, personality, COVID-19 related worries, trust and frequency of exposure to official and unofficial information sources. Regression analysis showed that the acceptance of conspiracy theories and fake news: 1) decreases with analytical reasoning, official sources exposure and education level, 2) increases with external locus of control in politics, in the case of conspiracy theories, and exposure and trust in unofficial information sources, in the case of fake news.
