Resumen:
The Quito Metropolitan District is committed to solve its existing traffic congestion problems in the city. One of the solutions is the construction of a Massive Transportation System called ?Metro de Quito?, making it the backbone that integrates all means of existing public transportation such as Trole, Ecovia, Corredores Suroriental, Central Norte and Suroccidental. In this work, a detailed model of ?Metro de Quito? Electrical System (SEMQ) is developed which has been incorporated into the ?Empresa Eléctrica Quito? (EEQ) grid, the Electric Utility Company of Quito. This model is used to perform system studies such as harmonic power flow by using DIgSILENT PowerFactory under different operating conditions. The results show that the electrical behavior of the EEQ and the SEMQ systems are within an acceptable range in terms of energy quality, which will ensure a stable operation of both systems.
