The aim of this work was to study the efficacy of Uroporphyri I (URI I) as tumor localizer. We have compared the tumor uptake and tissue distribution of URO I and hematoporphyrin (HPD;the most studied photosensitizer) at different times using a transplantated mouse mammary carcinoma tumor model, which allowed us to conclud that at least in our model URO I proved to be better tumour localizer tnan HPD.
