Resumen:
The life cycle of flowering plants alternates between a diploid organism, the sporophyte, and a haploid organism, the gametophyte. The male gametophyte (microgametophyte or pollen grain) develops within the anthers and the female gametophyte (megagametophyte or embryo sac) develops within the ovule. Although several mechanisms governing gametogeneis have been revealed along the last years, there are still many genes that were found relevant for plant gametogenesis in broad screenings, whose functions in this process are still unknown. That is the case of the cytochrome P450 CYP77A7, whose function during female and male gametogenesis is approached in this study by TE analysis, expression pattern studies and co-expression analysis
