Obtaining polymeric materials such as films, fromrenewable sources that substitute those that are madefrom non-renewable source is of great interest.One option could be use hemicelluloses, but when it isused alone, fragile films are obtained in their formationdue to the crystallinity, and this makes difficult tohandling it. Through the combination with chitosan theunfavorable characteristics can be improved1.Both polymers are of natural origin, so they have theadvantage of forming biodegradable films.
