Resumen:
On 2010 a long duration active region emerged and persisted through fivemonths from July until its decay in November The quadrature situation ofthe STEREO spacecraft enabled continuous tracking of the region andidentification of the coronal mass ejections originating in it Using datafrom the STEREO SECCHI instrument suite, as well as from theAtmospheric Imaging Assembly and the Helioseismic and MagneticImager instruments onboard the Solar Dynamics Observatory, weinvestigate the conditions that gave rise to specific periods of ejectiveactivity in this active region We determine the locations from which massejections originated, and measure the ejections' angular widths, speed, and mass The active region behavior, during front disk passages, isanalyzed by following the spatial distribution and evolution of currentdensity, current helicity, and other parameters extracted from customizedHMI SHARP data The search for correlations between the active regionphotospheric evolution and periods of intense ejective activity, isencouraging to understand the physical mechanisms at work and toimprove space weather forecasting.
