Resumen:
During last five years, we carried out  propolis elaboration associated to native flora of Andean piedemont as Baccharis grisebachii, Larrea nitida and Zuccagnia punctata. Since propolis`s ethyl acetate extract (PEE) from Bauchaceta  district showed antifungal activity againts yeast Candida albicans and Cryptococcus neoformans by agar dilution method. A study was undertaken to isolate and identify the main metabolites means bioguided antifungal and bioutography assays,   percolation on Sephadex LH-20 column and silica column. Assay-guided isolation led to a lignan methyl nordihydroguaiaretic acid (MNDGA), as the main active constituents of the crude drug. wich was identified by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectra using a Bruker spectrometer, operating at 400 MHz for 1H and 100 MHz for 13C, MS and HPLCMS. Yeast Candida albicans C. tropicalis Cryptococcus neoformans were strongly inhibited by MNDGA with a MIC= 31.2 µg/ml.
