Resumen:
Interesting commercial forest species. It can produce high-quality timber for noble uses (as cabinet-making, veneer).Valued for its aesthetic quality and color, with high prices. Adequate management is necessary to produce valuable logs. Prices can greatly vary for same dimension pieces due to the presence of defects. In comparison to pure plantations, mixed plantations can be a good option by its resilience to disturbances and climatic change, reduced phytosanitary risks, simplified cultural interventions -especially pruning and weed control-, improved productivity and timber quality.
