Resumen:
AMIGA detectors are highly segmented devices and, as such, posses the capability of measuring the arrival times of individual muons at a depth of 2.3 m. Nevertheless, the lack of information of the exact position of a crossing particle along the scintillator strips (of 2 m or 4 m length depending on the module area) results in an unavoidable uncertainty in the reconstruction of its arrival time. In this work, we analyse the delay in the signal for triggering-particle positions spanning from the closest to the farthest ends of the scintillators using well controlled laboratory measurements. The resolution of the reconstructed times observed is 12 ns.
