The synchronization of the AMIGA muon detector

Resumen:
Using air shower data, we synchronized  the signals recorded by the modules of AMIGA unitary cell with a resoltion of 22 ns. The time difference between the signals of modules in the same array position was determined with an uncertainty on only 7 ns. The timing accuracy achieved with the synchronisation paves the way to new uses of the AMIGA data. One of the most promising applications is the reconstruction of the muon production depth from 0.3 EeV to 3 EeV, a feature-rich region of the energy spectrum.
