Data quality observables for the Underground Muon Detector of AMIGA

Resumen:
The Underground Muon Detector of the AugerPrime enhancement will be composedby 61 stations associated with the water-Cherenkov detectors from the SD-750. Thecharacteristics of each station will follow an improved design of the engineering array ofthe AMIGA Muon Detector. The stations will be composed by three modules of 64 buriedplastic scintillation bars whose light yield will be measured by a channel of an opticsystem. Therefore, more than 10 4 channels would need to be monitored in order to assessperformance issues. In this work, we define a set of observables based on digital traces andcapable of spotting individual channels which do not follow the average behaviour. These?suspicious? channels may be removed from high-level physics analyses beforehand. Weemployed recent data to develop a procedure to diagnose channels and assess high-quality data. Using the period between October 1, 2017 and June 30, 2018 as a test bench,we report 30 (7) faulty channels out of the 1664 (768) available silicon photomultiplier(photomultiplier tubes) channels. In addition, we employed the same observables todefine bad periods of data adquisition.
