Resumen:
SUPERGENE PARAGENESIS OF ZINC MINERALS IN THE LASTENIA VEIN OF THE CAMPANA MAHUIDA Pb-Zn DISTRICT, NEUQUÉN. The mineralogy of zincsilite, gunningite, hemimorphite and willemite has been studied by petrographic microscopy, SEM, XRD and EDS. All these minerals were found in the oxidation zone of veins of the Campana Mahuida Pb-Zn district in the Patagonian Andes, Neuquén, Argentina. The zinc minerals are originate from sphalerite supergene alteration in a silica rich oxidation zone with a relatively low pH in absence of carbonates.
