Resumen:
Thunderstorms may cause permanent failures indistribution feeders (DF), which represent the main cause of DFoutages. Such a phenomenon presents diverse parameters to betaken into account, such as wave form, lightning intensity. Thedistribution transformers (DT) are being constantly affected, which cause to generate overvoltage on the secondary sideaffecting to customers. Therefore, transformer patterns withdifferent settings of resisting, inductive and capacitivecomponents have to be studied. In this paper, in order to counteract effects that causeslightning in DFs, a comparative analysis of the transformermodel is being displayed, which has to undergo under highfrequencies, which build in a setting of capacitors in thetransformer side of low and high surgery, is presented. Theanalysis is carried out by means of two scenarios. The firstconsiders the surgery measures in the secondary side by usingcapacitors, and the second without considering these elements toobtain the surgery answer. Results show that the surgery valuesobtained in the secondary side differ significantly depending onthe use or not of the capacitors in the transformer model.
