First order phase transition of vortices in Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+ with columnar defects

The rst order transition in vortex matter in Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+ with a moderate dosis of columnar defectswas studied with Hall probe magnetometry. The presence of the transition is revealed by a paramagnetic peak inac measurements, while a transition between two glassy or solid-like phases is observed at lower temperatures viathe second peak eect. Results obtained for matching elds of 10, 30 and 60 G are presented and compared, thepersistence of the transition and the features of the phase diagram are discussed.
