Resumen:
The purpose of this work is to show new results describing the topographical pattern of superhydrophobic leaves using an image technique based on the two-dimensional Fourier transform. This technique, called Rotated Image with Maximun Average Power Spectrum (RIMAPS), has recently been applied in the description of technological and biological surfaces. It allows identifying the main directions of the micro-nanostructural pattern and its distribution on the x-y surface. The aim of the work is to find similarities or differences between the micro-nano patterns of binary structures. Results from the RIMAPS study of different plant species (e.g. Brassica oleracea, Tropaeolum majus) are presented with their respective conclusions.
