Resumen:
Fosfomycin (FOS) is an antibiotic (ATB) used for the treatment of lung bacterial infections in pigs. The main sites of infection (biophases) of these pathogens are the interstitial and intracellular fluids. The aim of this study was to determine if in piglets plasma (IV, IM) and biophases (epithelial lining fluid-ELF, alveolar macrophages-AM, white blood cells-WBC and respiratory cells) FOS reaches concentrations above the MIC90 for the most important respiratory pathogens in swine production.
