Resumen:
In order to obtain the optimal parameters for a boiler controller, together with profiles for differential and state variables, we have formulated the dynamic optimization model of a boiler. The use of a specific amount of air excess is taken into account to produce a realistic combustion to eliminate products of incomplete combustion. Mass, heat and momentum balances are formulated in risers, drum and super heater. The differential- algebraic equation (DAE) optimization problem is solved discretizing the DAE system by collocation on finite elements and solving the resulting nonlinear programming problem with a reduced Successive Quadratic Programming (rSQP) algorithm
