INVAP has designed and is constructing a new Air Effluent Monitor (AEM) to be deployed in the next Medical Isotope Production Facility (MIPF) that are being built by INVAP, to measure Noble Gases emissions at the source. The AEM features a CdTe and a NaI(Tl) detector for real time, on-line measurement of Noble gases stack emissions. In this work we present the measuremets that were performed as part of the characterization of the AEM detection system. The CdTe and NaI(Tl) detectors were set to measure in series with the already existing measuring device of a working MIPF during a production run. Data corresponding to these measuriements are presented. Comparison with on-line measurements obtained with the existing measuring system at the MIPF, and details of the experimental detection system set-up are discussed.
