Resumen:
The potential effects of a particular pollutant emission usually relate to a specific averaging time. However, the averaging time associated with monitoring data in the area of an emission may differ from the averaging time implicit in an atmospheric dispersion model used to estimate the air pollutant concentration resulting from that emission. Different factors exist for taking account of such differences and some models include expressions which convert estimated values to the appropriate averaging time. This paper presents a review of the conversion factors obtained by different authors to carry out such transformation and it is proposed conversion factors, depending of atmospheric stability for extrapolating time-averaged air pollution concentrations.
