Abstract
A Study of the dietary effect of different levels of the squid protein fraction was conducted on Argentine red shrimp Pleoticus muelleri. The results suggest an effect of squid extract on morphology of the hepatopancreas cells, but they do not affect growth and survival. Thsi indicate that histological criteria constitute a practical mean for the preliminary assessment of the acceptability and nutritional valued of diets for the Argentine red shrimp Pleoticus muelleri.
