In this paper we analyze the properties of a chain of forward-coupled bistable overdamped oscillators. It is well known that this system displays stochastic resonance (SR) and behaves as a transmission line when an adequate amount of noise is added to every oscillator. In particular, we are interested in the delay properties of such a line.  By driving the chain’s first oscillator with a sequence of random non-return-to-zero (NRZ) modulated bits, we show by means of numerical simulation that bit delays are either noise-tunable or coupling-intensity tunable for a wide range of noise and coupling parameters, and depend linearly on the number of oscillators in the chain.
