Resumen:
The objective of the present paper is to analyze a rural state school number 6, of the villageof Villa Silípica, Department Silípica, Province of Santiago del Estero, in the northwest of Argentina;with the purpose of making proposals to improve the comfort conditions of the users of thiseducational habitat. To this end, it was agreed to work together with the relevant state institutionresponsible for the production of school buildings in that province ?General Direction of Architecture,DGA- as it emerged the need to project bioclimatic schools with rational conventional energy use andrenewable energy use ?solar energy-. The methodology used was the consideration of thegeographic and climatic conditions of the locality, the determination of general strategies and theselection of particular guidelines for the bioenvironmental zone where the rural school is located, according to Norma IRAM Nº 11603; the architectural-technological analysis of the state prototype.Subsequently, the results of a socio-environmental survey carried out on the students, the hygrothermalmonitoring and their comparison with the thermal simulation (carried out through the SIMEDIFProgram) in the classrooms under real conditions of use in the rural school of conventional designwere analyzed. Proposals were made for functional and technological redesign to achieve itsbioclimatic adequacy, and both buildings were evaluated in a comparative way, according to theguidelines of the series of IRAM Norms Nº 11,604, 11605 and 11,659 of hygro-thermal comfort, withenergy saving calculated in heating- cooling; and the thermal transmittance values of the opaque andnon-opaque elements of both envelopes. Finally, the energy efficiency labeling of both buildings wascarried out according to IRAM Norm Nº. 11,900. In conclusion, from the evaluation of the results ofthe surveys carried out, it can be deduced that the higher percentage of students don?t studycomfortably, which was corroborated by the measurements and simulations carried out, and thelabeling obtained at "H level" of energy efficiency in the state school. As a result, proposals weremade for bio-environmental adjustments and technological improvement of the enclosure withtraditional construction materials and techniques, and the classrooms were simulated thermalenergeticallyagain by verifying the thermal improvement of walls, ceilings and carpenters, along withenergy savings and The energy efficiency of the redesigned prototype where a label was obtainedthat improved to a level B -"optimum?-.
