Validation Process Developed to Estimate the Error of the SAOCOM Soil Moisture Maps Applied to the Case of SAC-D

In the last few years, the SACD-Aquarius and SMOS missions allowed the retrieval of global soil moisture using L-band radiometry. However, the optimal use of these data requires an accurate estimation of the error structure. We implemented the tripple collocation error estimation technique with the aim to use it in the process of validation of the SAOCOM soil moisture products.
