Chytridiomycosis(CM)isaworldwideemerginginfectiousdiseasethatproducesglobalamphibiandeclines(6)inbothwildandcaptivespecies,someofthemendangered,beingBatrachochytriumdendrobatidis(Bd)theetiologicalagent(7-9,16-7).Nowadays,probioticsrepresentanovelapproachtopreventCM(12,15,18)andincludeareducedspectrumofautochthonousskin-microorganisms inwhich lacticacidbacteria (LAB)arenotinvolved.Moreover,Lithobatescatesbeianus(LC)orAmericanbullfrogisaBdcarrierbypromotingtheCMdissemination.OurresearchgrouphadreportedLABasmembersoftheautochthonousmicrobiotaofLCandhaddemonstratedthatsomespeciesshowedbeneficialpropertiesagainstRedLegSyndrome-relatedpathogens.TakingintoconsiderationthatLABcouldco-evoluti
