The egalitarian reciprocity model: justification of post-trial access and right to health

The aim of the following paper is to present a normative justification of post-trial obligations towards research subjects, in particular, access to a beneficial intervention if needed. I call this interpretation alternatively the egalitarian reciprocity model or the democratic reciprocity model. The main thesis of the democratic reciprocity model is that post-trial obligations are correlative to the right to health and part of the set of obligations to protect and promote health for all persons.
