Resumen:
An apparent polar wander path for the Cretaceous is calculated,considering new information from the Lower Cretaceous of Cordoba and applyingrigorous selection criteria to paleomagnetic poles of South America and other continents.The South American path reflects a constant northwards and clockwise rotationaldisplacement for the South American plate between 150 and 70 Ma, w ith astand-still at 130-120 Ma. This change coincides with reported plate reorganizationand continental breakup events. Also, the path includes a rapid true polarwander segment at 120-84 Ma.
