Resumen:
The aim was to develop cancer vaccines employing irradiated tumor cells transfected with T-cell costimulatory molecules. BALB/c mice (n=5-10/group) were inoculated i.p. with 1x106 T-cell lymphoma cells (LBC) transfected with CD40, CD40L or with combination of CD40, CD40L and CD80 and irradiated with 3000 cGy, or controls (PBS and irradiated mock transfected tumor cells), twice at 7-day intervals. Mice were challenged 7 days after the last immunization with 1x106 tumor cells i.p. All immunized groups rejected the tumor. Our results indicated survival rates of 70-100% for LBC.CD40, 40-60% for LBC.CD40L and combination groups and 55-70% for LBC. Mice immunized with LBC showed a significant difference in survival regarding the challenged groups (p
