Resumen:
Antimicrobial activity of the aqueous extract, ethanolic and methanolic Tagetes patula essential oil against Ralstonia solanacearum race 2 bacteria was evaluated, in addition to their antioxidant activity. The extracts were subjected to a preliminary phytochemical analysis where the presence of some metabolites such as flavonoids, tannins, saponins, terpenes or terpene lactones was evident among others. The present compounds in the essential oil (AE) were determined by GC-MS analysis, this AE showed higher antimicrobial activity as the methanol extract of flowers EMF, demonstrating that R. solanacearum race 2 has a high sensitivity to these extracts. The antioxidant potential of T. patula extracts was determined by spectrophotometric analysis which indicated that the EMF and the EPS has a greater number of phenolic compounds and / or other polyphenolic extracts values 227.67 and 183.86 mg Eq - gallic acid / mg of extract respectively assay DPPH radical scavenging and showed that the EEF EMF have greater DPPH radical scavenging capacity than other extracts of T. patula. EEH concentration, EEF, EMH, EMF, EAH and EAF which captures 50% of DPPH radicals was determined with the following results 96.32, 33.62, 52.85, 13.21, 58.67, 122 58 ug / ml respectively. Various items related to the high content of phenolic compounds in plants with the capacity to eliminate free radicals and are shown to be associated with strong antioxidant activity of the plant (Al Dhaheri Y, et al. 2013).
