Resumen:
Bordetella bronchiseptica has the ability of living in sessile communities, known as biofilms, on abiotic surfaces and in the respiratory tract of mice (1-3). OmpQ is a general outer membrane porin of Bordetella, whose expression is regulated by the two-component system BvgAS, together with other virulence factors of these bacteria (4). We have previously found an over expression of this protein in biofilms from B. pertussis (5). The purpose of this work was to study the contribution of OmpQ to biofilm formation by B. bronchiseptica. References1- Mishra, M., et al. J Bacteriol, 2005. 2- Sloan, G.P., et al.
