Resumen:
In this study, we present the preliminary results of subfossil chironomids assemblages from eleven lakes of the Pampa region, Argentina (36°S, 62°W). The ultimate goal is to retrieve ecological information about the subfossil chironomids taxa present in the Pampa region and recognizing which of these taxa reflect lake productivity. This studywill provide an opportunity to investigate the trophic history of pampean shallow lakes which experienced different antrophic impacts in the last 200 years.
