Faxinal do Soturno Local Fauna of the Late Triassic of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil

The rich assemblage of small sized tetrapods recorded in a fine sandstone packagefrom the locality of Faxinal do Soturno, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, provides theopportunity to know several synchronous taxa that would integrate a real faunistic association. The fossils related to this fauna are housed at Laboratorio de Paleovertebrados of the Universidade Federal do RIO Grande do Sul Museu de Ciencias Naturais of the Fundacao Zoobotanica, Rio Grande do Sul andDepartamento de Geologia of Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos. In this paperwe briefly comment the formal described taxa discovered in Faxinal do Sotumo andreport new findings representing Lepidosauromorpha and Cynodontia.
