Resumen:
In this report we study the comportment of a two-electron atom when the nuclear charge tends to its critical value, Zc. The critical nuclear charge Zc is the minimum charge necessary to bind N electrons. Its value, at which 1sns bound states disappear, is a solution of a trascendental equation. Ionization cross sections by photon impact of a two-electron atom close to its critical charge.
