Abstract – This paper proposes a non-linear discrete large signal model for space vector modulated three-phase converters. This model takes into account the switching sequence, sampling instants and switching frequency. In addition, this discrete non-linear model does not require that the ripple over the variables to be small. Furthermore, two average linear models are compared. The proposed linear model, by least square approximation, results in better approximation for lower ratios of the switching and fundamental frequency. Simulation results are presented in the paper.
