Resumen:
Nowadays, research and engineering of CO2 separation and capture is in progress and membrane technology is expected to be an efficient process for it. Microporous titanosilicate ETS-10 membranes are presented as candidates to CO2 separation from mixtures CO2/N2 and CO2/H2 at pressure ranging from 0 to 24 bar at ambient temperature. ETS-10 membranes have been characterized by SEM, XRD and a new novel non-destructive technique based on the measurement of the local He permeation along the whole membrane surface using a microscopic needle. There is a good correlation between the defects founds with the new leak mapping technique and the selectivity properties of the membrane. In case of CO2/N2 separation mixture, maximum separation factors between 7-10 can be obtained in a pressure range between 6-24 bar.2 separation and capture is in progress and membrane technology is expected to be an efficient process for it.
