People not specialized on conceptual research in bioethics may not to be fully aware of the different distinctions and possibilities of reciprocity based arguments. In this presentation I?ll try to show some of the relevant distinctions and the resulting different interpretations of fair reciprocity. I believe that this is a relevant finding, because when different interpretations of fair reciprocity are embedded in moral arguments the scope of obligations of researchers and sponsors towards research subjects may vary accordingly. To illustrate this I will use the case of post-trial obligations.
