Resumen:
In this presentation we introduced the definitions of translational research and Bioethics. We define problems of research ethics, translational research and science and technology policy, as well as opportunities and threats this problems present. Then, we introduce the democratic reciprocity model of researchers and sponsors ethical obligations. The democratic reciprocity model is general ethical model of justification of current practices and regulations (hard and soft) of research with human beings in democratic societies. Finally, we discussed two special problems, namely, "what is the appropriate speed of translational research?" and "how should a democratic society should treat members of other societies in international TR?" from the perspective of the democratic reciprocity model.
